Obituary, Peter Charles Rouse

 

Pleasant Valley – Peter Charles Rouse, age 60, of Pleasant Valley, died Friday, December 18, 2015 at home in Pleasant Valley. Pete was born August 31, 1955 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of Richard H. and the late Helen M. (Sauer) Rouse. He served in the Navy. He was employed by Stop and Shop in Poughkeepsie, NY. Pete was a graduate of Arlington High School and a member of the American Legion. Pete loved to Bike Ride, Fish and play Pool. Pete enjoyed baseball. He loved the Yankee’s. He loved to play softball. When he was young boy in Poughkeepsie, he played Little League for Mr. Farrel and the Irish Club. He was selected as an All Star 2 years in a row. When he moved to Pleasant Valley, he played Junior League Ball for Bud O’Halloran and the P.V. Lions Club. Pete made many friends thru baseball and stayed in contact with many of them over the Years. Pete was loved by all who knew him and missed by many

He is survived by his daughter: Dawn Madary of Port Townsend, WA, son Matthew Rouse of Port Charles LA; his father Richard H. Rouse of Pleasant Valley, NY., sisters: Linda Smith of Dover Plains, NY, Sharon Fairbairn and her husband John of Pleasant Valley, NY and brother Rodney Rouse and his wife Tracy Pleasant Valley, NY. Pete is also survived by his granddaughters, Makayla and Sienna Madary and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Pete was predeceased by his brother, Brian Rouse and step mother, Laura Rouse.

Calling hours will be Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 3pm to 6:30pm at  371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral will follow the visitation at 6:30 pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.
