Pleasant Valley woman charged with stealing cash and scratch off lotto tickets from employer

PRESS RELEASE
Pleasant Valley, New York – On December 19, 2015, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Laura Ann Bednarczuk, 21 years old, of Pleasant Valley, New York, for Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony.

Troopers were dispatched to Brennan’s Supermarket in September of 2015 to investigate a reported larceny.  It was reported that an employee had stolen over $3,000 worth of cash and scratch off lotto tickets from the store between March of 2015 and September of 2015.

Bednarczuk arraigned before the Town of Pleasant Valley Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond.  She is scheduled to return to the Pleasant Valley Justice Court on January 21, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.
