Dover, New York – On December 19, 2015, New York State Police from the Dover Plains barracks arrested Shaun M. Williams, 33 years old, of Poughkeepsie, New York, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree, a Class E Felony, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.

Troopers stopped a U-haul truck traveling on Route 22 after observing two small children sitting on the passenger’s lap.  Troopers interviewed the operator of the vehicle who identified himself as Christopher Frenyea-White, 34 years old, of Amenia.  Following an investigation conducted by the arresting officer, it was discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen to the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department in August of 2015.  Shaun Williams, a passenger in the vehicle, alleged that he rented the truck in June of 2015 and hasn’t returned the vehicle because he needed transportation.

Frenyea-White was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.  Frenyea-White was issued traffic tickets for not having the two children properly seated in child safety seats and for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree.

Both suspects were issued Appearance Tickets directing them to appear before the Town of Dover Justice Court on January 11, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.
