Four Newburgh residents arrested in the Town of Lloyd for felony possession of narcotics

On December 14, 2015, The New York State Police in Highland arrested Octavious J. Cooper age 19, Robert M Durell age 23 and an 18 year old and 17 year old male all from Newburgh, NY for for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (a class B felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (a class A misdemeanor) and Tampering with Physical Evidence (a class E felony). Cooper and the 17 year old were additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree (a class D felony) and Robert Durrell was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree (a class C felony).

On December 14, 2015, Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Octavious Cooper while on State Route 9W in the Town of Lloyd for an equipment offense. During the traffic stop all 4 occupants were found to be in possession of cocaine and heroin.

All four defendants were arraigned in the Town of Plattekill Court and were each subsequently remanded to Ulster County Jail on $250,000 cash / $500,000 bond and set to appear in the Town of Lloyd Court on 12/17/15 at 3pm.
