Ruby Mary Santersiro, 55, a resident of Wingdale for the last 4 ½ years, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015 at New Milford Hospital, New Milford, CT.
Born in New Rochelle, NY on November 12, 1960, she was the daughter of Richard Kenneth Welsh of Port Charlotte, FL and the late Patricia (Covington) Welsh, who passed away January 31, 2011.
Ruby was a house wife who had worked as an LPN at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla in hip replacement surgery and after care. She married Thomas Santersiro in Peekskill, NY on December 31, 1993; he survives at home.
Ruby was an avid reader; she especially loved fantasy books, and her many pets, which included ten cats.
In addition to her husband and father, Ruby is survived by her two sons, David Welsh of the Bronx and Dakota Santersiro at home; her three sisters, Patricia-Anne Sgambelluri of Wappingers Falls, NY, Barbara Berman of Mount Vernon, NY, and Wendy Welsh of Port Charlotte, FL.
In addition to her mother, Ruby is predeceased by her two loving dogs.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19th at 10 AM, location to be announced.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
