City of Newburgh man arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Tampering with Physical Evidence

PRESS RELEASE

12/2/2015 – The New York State Police – Highland BCI announce the arrest of 22 year old, Davon Williams, of Newburgh, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (a class B felony) and Fourth Degree (a class C felony) and also for Tampering with Physical Evidence (a class E felony).

On 12/2/15, subsequent to vehicle and traffic stop conducted by SP Highland patrols, an investigation revealed that Javon Williams was in possession of approximately 100 bags of heroin and approximately 6 grams of crack/cocaine which he attempted to conceal on his person.

Williams was arraigned before Judge Rizzo in the Town of Lloyd Court and was remanded to the Ulster County Jail on no bail. Williams was ordered to appear back in the Town of Lloyd Court on 12/03/15 at 3pm.
