Saugerties man arrested on sex offense charge

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police in Kingston report the arrest of ALBERT B. AMES, 77 of Saugerties, NY. AMES was arrested for Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree, Class B Felony.

Investigation determined that Ames had sexual contact with a child less than 11 years old. The abuse which was recently reported, had occurred approximately 15 years ago at his residence in Saugerties.

Ames was arraigned before the Town of Saugerties Court and released on $5,000 cash bail to appear at a later date.
