Carmel man arrested for felony driving while intoxicated

Somers, New York – On November 13, 2015, New York State Police from the Somers station arrested Frank J. Mayer, 54 years old, of Carmel, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony.

Troopers stopped a Subaru traveling on Route 202 for speeding.  While interviewing the operator of the vehicle, who identified himself as Mayer, Troopers observed clues that indicated he was intoxicated at the time of the stop.

Mayer was charged with Felony driving while intoxicated when a criminal history revealed that he was convicted of DWI in 2008.

Mayer gave a breath sample that yielded a Blood Alcohol Content of .11%.  Mayer was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Somers Court on November 30, 2015 at 5:30 p.m.
