Middletown Troopers Arrest Town of Deerpark Man for Sex Abuse

The New York State Police based in Middletown announce the arrest of Markian P. Halamay, age 35 of the Town of Deerpark, for Sex Abuse 2nd, a Class A Misdemeanor. State Troopers began the investigation after receiving a law enforcement referral from the New York State Department of Social Services.
The investigation revealed that Markian P. Halamay subjected a female under the age of 14 to sexual contact inside of a residence. State Police arrested Halamay on November 18th, 2015 and he was then arraigned in the Town of Deerpark Court before Judge John Wulff. Halamay was then remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. Markian Halamay is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Deerpark Court on December 16, 2015 at 6:30pm.
