Counterfeit bills found in Pawling Beekman LaGrange

 

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office is investigating into a recent series of attempts to pass counterfeit bills in Dutchess County.

The Sheriff’s Office said the bills were counterfeit $100 bills, and there are at least three confirmed cases that have occurred within the last week in the LaGrange, Beekman, and Pawling.

The Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s assistance with this investigation, and anyone who thinks that they may be a victim of this activity or refused a counterfeit bill is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.
