Ancram woman charged with violating court order of protection

Stanford, New York – On November 17, 2015, The New York State Police in Rhinebeck arrested 54-year-old Julie Mathers, of Ancram, New York, for three counts of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Mathers violated an active stay away order of protection directing her to refrain from having contact with two protected parties named on a court order.  The defendant visited one protected party who was lodged in the Dutchess County Jail on two occasions.  Additionally, she violated the court order when she sent a text message to another protected party.

Mathers was arraigned in the Town of Stanford Justice Court and was remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1000 cash bail or $2000 secured bond. She is due back in court on November 18, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.
