DCC Foundation Craft Fair Coming Thanksgiving Weekend

November 17, 2015 – The Dutchess Community College Foundation will host its 44th Annual Craft Fair on Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 28 and 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day on the DCC main campus in Poughkeepsie. This has become one of the area’s most anticipated hand-made crafts events.

The Holiday Craft Fair draws 100-plus artisans and specialty food-makers and 3,000 visitors annually. Most vendors are from the Hudson Valley, but others travel from neighboring states to offer unique items to local residents looking to kick off the holiday shopping season.

Items for sale will include jewelry, fiber arts, clothing, candles, soaps and oils, decorative paintings, photographs, toys, collectibles, ceramics, porcelain, floral arrangements and works in glass, metal, leather and wood. Door prize drawings will be held and refreshments can be purchased.

All proceeds from the event go to student scholarships.

Admission is $6, $4 for senior citizens and DCC students, staff and alumni. Children under 12 are free. Those with special needs are invited to beat the rush by starting their shopping at 9:30 a.m. The event’s media sponsor is Q92.1 FM.

The event is held in Falcon and Drumlin halls. Guests are encouraged to park in Lot D on Cottage Road. There will be shuttle service to Falcon and Drumlin halls. For more information and to obtain a $1 off coupon for admission, visit sunydutchess.edu/craftfair.
