November 17th is School Related Professionals Recognition Day in New York state. The third Tuesday in November is the day designated by the state Legislature as a special statewide recognition day for School-Related Professionals. SRPs work long and hard each day, side-by-side as partners in education with other school staff on both the front lines and behind the scenes every day.

SRPs  can be many different things depending on their school district: from bus drivers, and cafeteria workers, to teaching assistants and school nurses. Here in Pawling, SRPs are teaching assistants. We are few in number but we are mighty.

We’d just like to give recognition to all the other TAs out there who, like us go that extra mile for our students. We love what we do!

Don’t forget to say “Thank you!” to an SRP today!
