State Police arrest two Cairo women for robbery

On November 13, 2015, State Police in Catskill announce the arrest of Heaven Strother, age 25, of Cairo, New York, and Cassadie Higgins, age 22, also of Cairo, New York, following an investigation into a robbery that was reported to State Police earlier that day. The two women are accused of robbing a 26 year-old Cairo woman at her residence. The victim was physically threatened and relieved of a cell phone and a silver ring. Both women were charged with one count of Robbery 2nd (C Felony) and Strother was additionally charged with one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A Misdemeanor). They were arraigned in Town of Cairo Court, and committed to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $2500 cash and $5000 bond, pending a future court appearance.
