Gerda M. Binotto, 76, of Locust Grove, Virginia passed away Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 at Culpeper Hospital.
Mrs. Binotto was a native of Dover Plains, NY. She was a registered nurse at New Milford Hospital in New Milford, CT. After moving to Virginia she worked at Culpeper Memorial Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid gardener.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Dante Binotto, Sr.; son Dante Binotto, Jr. and wife Caroll of Cobleskill, NY; two daughters Ella Binotto and husband John Appleby of Fredericksburg and Norma Comerford and husband Kenneth of Milltown, NJ.; five grandchildren Kimberly Stone, Garrett Stone, Colleen Cregg, Erin Comerford and Dante Binotto, III; five great-grandchildren Isaac, Nathan and Gabriel Leal and Olivia and Sebastian Stone; brothers Otto Sprossel, William Sprossel , Robert Sprossel, Carl Sprossel and Thomas Sprossel; and two sisters Ann Phillips and Shirley Adrian.
A service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10 at Covenant Funeral Service, 4801 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg Va. 22408. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Culpeper National Cemetery.
