Cortlandt man arrested following domestic dispute

Cortlandt, New York – On November 3, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Cortlandt Barracks arrested Alvin T. Banks, 52 years old, of Cortlandt, New York, for Assault 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony.

On November 3, 2015, Troopers were dispatched to investigate a physical domestic dispute.  An investigation revealed that the victim sustained a large laceration on her head after Banks threw a ceramic bowl at her during the altercation.

Banks was arraigned before the Town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.  He is due to reappear in Cortlandt Court on November 6, 2015.
