PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police at Monroe announce the arrest of 27 year old Robert J. Vance Jr, of Harriman, NY for Burglary in the second degree.  Vance did enter the home of Matthew Kalmus and remove items from the residence.  Further investigation leads to the arrest of the initial complainant, 28 year old, Matthew Kalmus from Monroe, NY who reported money was stolen from his residence.  As the State Police continued to investigate the burglary, it was discovered that marijuana was stolen from the residence and not cash as initially reported to the police. Kalmus was charged with Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the second degree and was issued an appearance ticket to the Town of Monroe Court.  Vance was arraigned in the Town of Monroe Court and remanded to Orange County Jail pending a future court date.
