Helping young children learn to share and play together is a challenge! BRING A TOY and your little one for an hour of group playtime for the children and parent time for you! Parents must stay with children in the community room. Playgroup is open to children ages 18 months & up. Younger siblings are welcome, but must be directly supervised by a parent. BeBop Books is our newly formatted program for your 3 – 4 year old to enjoy independently. We’ll continue to include early literacy skills to expand your child’s growing vocabulary and introduce them to rhyming, sounds and story retelling, but we’ll also include a music and rhythm component to highlight syllables and rhyming to make those literacy skills lots of fun! Parents are welcome to stay with their child if needed.

Accepting others as they are and being tolerant of differences can be difficult lessons to learn. We’ll dive into these important life lessons as we read about some very challenging lives and see first-hand how it feels to beOperation Teamwork”on the outside looking in.” Since you are back in school and I’m sure you’re finding your are busier than you were last year, we’ll be reading two difficult picture books this session so you won’t have a lot of extra work. We’ll be reading The Lemonade Club and Thank You, Mr. Faulkner, both by Patricia Polacco. After our book discussion we’ll practice patience & tolerance while we learn some fun cooperative learning games.
