Pawling Election Letter Response

Robert Liffland

This message is from Robert L. Liffland, write in candidate for Town of Pawling supervisor. I have been forced to make this robo call by the Dutchess County Board of elections as the result of a complaint by an unidentified voter that my letter contains an inaccurate claim that all or part of it was authored by the board of elections. I want you to know no part of my October 22 letter or any part of the attachments were authored by the board of elections. No part of the letter or the attachments were approved or endorsed by the board of elections.

Now that I have corrected the record, I also want you to know that I completely disagree with any claim that anyone could think that my letter or any part of it was authored by the board of elections. I believe the anonymous complaint was made in an effort to intimidate me and undermine my campaign.

I respectfully ask that you vote for me for Pawling Town supervisor and I pledge to be transparent at all times and to always do what I believe is in the best interests of the Pawling taxpayers.

One more thing. The anonymous complainer and the board of elections have objected to my request that you bring into the voting booth the write in vote instructions provided with my October 22 letter. Please don’t bring those instructions with you to the voting booth. Instead please remember to write my name “Robert J. Liffland” in the box at the bottom of the column for town supervisor.

Thank you.
