State Police arrest two subjects following larceny investigation

Cortlandt, New York – On October 30, 2015, New York State Police from the Cortlandt Barracks arrested 38-year-old Carlos C. Jessamy, of Bronx, New York, and Erin F. Driscoll, 25 years old, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, for Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony.

Troopers were dispatched to the Kohl’s Department Store located on East Main Street in Cortlandt for a reported larceny complaint.  An investigation revealed that Jessamy entered Kohl’s and filled two suitcases with over $3,000 worth of assorted merchandise while Driscoll waited outside in a running vehicle. Jessamy was placing the suitcases containing the stolen merchandise in the 2004 Toyota SUV operated by Driscoll when Troopers arrived on scene. Jessamy fled from police on foot reentering Kohl’s before he was located hiding in an aisle and placed in custody.

Jessamy was additionally charged with Criminal Impersonation 2nd degree and Falsifying Business Records 2nd Degree, both Misdemeanors, for supplying police with a fictitious name at the time of his arrest.

Jessamy and Driscoll were arraigned before the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court. Jessamy was remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail. Driscoll was remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. Both defendants have a return date of Friday November 6th, 2015.
