Yonkers man arrested for unlawfully collecting unemployment benefits

PRESS RELEASE

Yonkers, New York – On October 26, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Hawthorne barracks arrested 44-year-old Richard C. Brooker of Yonkers, New York, for Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony, and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree, a Class E Felony.

The arrest is the result of a joint investigation conducted by the New York State Department of Labor Special Investigation Division and the New York State Police.

Brooker is accused of unlawfully collected over $7,100 worth of unemployment insurance benefits while gainfully employed.

Brooker is scheduled to appear before the City of White Plains Court on November 4, 2015 at 9:00 a.m.
