PRESS RELEASE
New York State Police at Highland arrested GWYON T. SUTTON, age 40, of Westfield, Massachusetts for DWAI-Drugs(VTL 1192-4), Criminal Possession of Weapon 4th (PL 265.01sub 2), Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 5th (PL 220.06) Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 7th (PL 220.03)and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana(PL 221.05).
Troopers were dispatched by Ulster County 911 to investigate a disabled vehicle creating a road hazard on State Route 9W in the Town of Esopus. Investigation revealed that GWYON SUTTON was impaired by drugs and was administered field sobriety tests. SUTTON was subsequently arrested and found to be in possession of approximately 600 milligrams of cocaine, several control substances, less than one gram of marihuana and two daggers.
SUTTON was arraigned in the Town of Esopus Court before the Honorable Robert Grieco and remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $5,000/$10,000 bail. SUTTON is scheduled to reappear in the Town Esopus Court on 10/27/15 at 5pm.
