Poughkeepsie, New York – On October 18, 2015, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested 28-year-old Ryan M. Cave, of Wappinger, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers patrolling Route 376 observed a speeding vehicle and attempted to conduct a vehicle and traffic stop.  The vehicle sped-up to 70 miles per hour and entered a private driveway before turning off the vehicle’s headlamps.  Troopers approached the vehicle and identified the driver as Cave.  An investigation revealed that Cave was intoxicated at the time of the stop.

Cave provided a positive breath sample that yielded a Blood Alcohol Content of .15% and was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Poughkeepsie Court on October 27, 2015.
