New Windsor man arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon

Kent, New York – On October 18, 2015, New York State Police from the East Fishkill barracks arrested David A. Dewitt, III, 20 years old, of New Windsor, New York, for Criminal Possession of Weapon 4th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Troopers stopped a vehicle traveling on Interstate 84 for speeding. Following an investigation conducted by the State Police, the driver was found to be operating the vehicle without a license. Further investigate revealed that Mr. Dewitt, a passenger in the vehicle, unlawfully possessed a stun gun.
Dewitt was issued an appearance ticket directing him to appear before the Town of Kent Court on November 2, 2015 at 12:00 p.m.
