Former Yonkers man arrested for unlawfully collecting unemployment benefits

Yonkers, New York – On October 19, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Hawthorne barracks arrested 53-year-old Stephen Badalamente of Bronx, New York, for Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony, and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree, a Class E Felony.

The arrest is the result of a joint investigation conducted by the New York State Department of Labor Special Investigation Division and the New York State Police.

Badalamente, a former Yonkers resident, is accused of unlawfully collected over $7,300 worth of unemployment insurance benefits between March of 2012 and July of 2012.

Badalamente is scheduled to appear before the City of White Plains Court on October 30, 2015 at 9:00 a.m.
