Vehicle stop by Troopers leads to arrest of five with drugs.

PRESS RELEASE    

The New York State Police at SP Wurtsboro announce the arrest of Anthony J. Geloso, age 51, of Waterbury CT, Raina R. Brown, age 28, of Orange CT, Shawn P.     Blakeman, age 27, of Naugatuck CT, Chelsea L. Teixeira, age 19, of Shelton CT and Courtney R Kaprel, age 17, of Shelton CT.  All five were charged with the felonies of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd and 4th as well as Criminal Possession of Marihuana.   Each was also charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, a misdemeanor. Geloso was additionally charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.

The five arrested subjects occupied a 1984 Chevy Cutaway which was being operated on ST-17 in the Town of Mamakating by Geloso, in violation of the NYS V&T Law.  Troopers stopped the vehicle and located more than eight ounces of Marihuana, a quantity of Lysergic Acid Diethyleamide (LSD), a quantity of Psilocybin Mushrooms and a quantity of Hash, which all of the occupants were charged with possessing.  Geloso additionally possessed quantity’s of Diazapam and Oxycodone without a prescription.

All five subjects were arraigned before Town of Mamakating Town Justice Cynthia Dolan and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on no bail.  All five are scheduled to appear in the Town of Mamakating Court on 10/15/15 at 10:00am.
