Putnam Valley Man Faces Domestic Violence Charges

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Putnam Valley man on domestic violence-related charges following an incident at his home.

On September 29, 2015 at approximately 1:15 a.m. Deputy Sheriff William Rossiter responded to a 911 report of a domestic dispute at 56 Mathes Street in the Town of Putnam Valley. The deputy determined that Sergio A. Lamouth, 35, of that address had punched a female victim in the face during a dispute. The deputy arrested Mr. Lamouth and charged him with Assault in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor, and with Harassment in the Second Degree, a violation. The defendant was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and held pending arraignment.

If found guilty of the misdemeanor charges, the defendant faces up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00 for each charge.
