Oliver Wendell “Wick” Green, 80, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Elant of Wappingers Falls, NY.

Wick was born in Mt. Kisco, NY on September 30, 1935 to Oliver W. and Marjorie (Harmon) Green.  He graduated from Pawling High School and went on to receive his Master Degree in Education from Florida State.  Wick married Kathleen Prandoni in Winter Park, FL on June 8, 1959, then and served in the US Army in Germany from 1958-60. Wick and Kathy came to Pawling in 1961, and became the Art teacher at Pawling High School until he retired in 1997.

Wick enjoyed 36 years of teaching, not only Art, but teaching kids to become young men and women.

Wick is survived by his wife Kathy; his son Stewart and wife Lisa of Mamaroneck, NY; his daughter Melanie Green Cassells and husband Gary of New Milford, CT; grandchildren Matthew and Rosemary Green of Mamaroneck, Cathryn Ensley of Greencastle, IN, Andrew Krebs of Danbury, CT, and Evan Cassells of New Milford, CT; great-grandchildren Boyd and Elyse Ensley and Gareth Krebs; and his sister Nancy Green Allen of New Hampshire.

Family and friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  Burial will be Tuesday at 3 PM in Pawling Cemetery.
