Fishkill woman charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs following traffic stop

Wappinger, New York – On September 27, 2015, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested 24-year-old Victoria L. Ross, of Fishkill, New York, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, an unclassified Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.

Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to investigate an erratically operated vehicle traveling on Old Hopewell Road.  The vehicle was located by responding patrols at the intersection of Kendell Drive and Nicole Drive.  The driver of the vehicle, identified as Ross, was found to be impaired by drugs at the time of the stop.

A State Police Drug Recognition Expert was used to confirm that Ross was impaired by drugs.

Ross was issued traffic tickets directing her to appear before the Town of Wappinger Court on October 6, 2015.
