UPDATE:  Bergin Perez was taken into custody on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in Richmond, VA.

The investigation conducted by the New York State Police revealed that Perez had fled the area and was heading south, possibly to Miami, FL.  Information was developed that he was on a bus heading to Richmond, VA.  Investigators from the State Police contacted Law Enforcement Authorities in Richmond who subsequently took Perez into custody without incident when the bus arrived at the terminal.

Perez is currently being held in Richmond pending extradition back to New York.  He will be charged with Criminal Sex Act in the First Degree and Burglary in the Second Degree.

The State Police in Monroe are attempting to locate BERGIN PEREZ 08/23/91.  Perez is a person of interest in a burglary that occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday 09/20/15.

Perez is wanted for questioning in regards to a burglary of an occupied residence in the Monroe area.  Perez is a 24 year old Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes.  He stands 5’7″ tall, weighs approximately 150 pounds, and was last seen in the area of Bakertown Rd.  Anyone with information on Bergin Perez or his whereabouts is asked to contact the State Police at Monroe Bureau of Criminal Investigation at (845) 782-8497.
