Wurtsboro man arrested for Identity Theft, Larceny.

The New York State Police at SP Wurtsboro announce the arrest of Donald Carrington, age 46, of Wurtsboro NY, on charges of Grand larceny 4th, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th and Identity Theft 2nd, all felonies, as well as Petit Larceny and Unlawful Possession of Personal ID, both misdemeanors.

This arrest was the result of a complaint made by a Wurtsboro resident who reported that between July 9th and August 11th, 2015, some unknown subject had unlawfully obtained and used her ATM card numerous times at ATM’s in and around the Wurtsboro area, all without her permission.  The complainant reported that a total of $1,772.00 had been removed from her account without her authority.

Carrington was arraigned before Town of Mamakating Town Justice Joel Welsh who remanded him to the Sullivan County Jail on $10,000 bail.  Carrington is scheduled to return to the Town of Mamakating Town Court on Oct 20, 2015 at 1:00pm.
