Dover, New York – On September 24, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Dover barracks arrested Daniel Diaz, 34 years old, of Sharon, Connecticut, for Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony.

Diaz was wanted by the State Police in Dover and the Dutchess County Court following his 2014 arrest.  Diaz was originally arrested in 2014 for unlawfully collecting over $5,000 in unemployment Insurance Benefits while he was gainfully employed.

In July of 2015, Dutchess County Court issued a warrant ordering Diaz’s arrest when he failed to appear for court proceedings.  Diaz was featured on the New York State Police Facebook page for Warrant Wednesday on September 23rd.  With the assistance of an anonymous Warrant Wednesday follower, Diaz was located at his place of employment and taken into custody.

Diaz was arraigned before the Dutchess County Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.   Diaz is scheduled to reappear in the Dutchess County Court on October 8, 2015
