Dunedin, FL – Gabriel D’Auria, 98, passed away on September 19, 2015 at his home in Dunedin, FL where he has lived since 2010. He previously lived in Poughquag.
Born in New York City on December 27, 1916, he was the son of the late Paul and Anna (Padula) D’Auria. He proudly served our country in the US Army during WWII. He had been a diamond merchant in Manhattan until his retirement.
Gabriel was a member of the East Fishkill Rotary Club and the Nassau Mounted Guard. He also enjoyed horseback riding. He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Bifulco) D’ Auria and their children.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 – 7 :30 pm at , 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 10 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale with military honors.
