Joseph Tidwell, 23, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015 at New Milford Hospital, New Milford, CT.
A resident of Wingdale, NY for 19 years, Joe was born in Athens, GA on October 6, 1991 to James David Tidwell and Barbara Jean Bingham, and moved to Wingdale from Somers, NY when he was two.
Joe worked for Herring Sanitation in Wappingers as a truck driver, and he loved hunting, fishing, and Peterbilt trucks.
Joe is survived by his mother, Barbara, and stepfather, Ralph Williams, Jr. of Wingdale; his paternal grandparents Maryanne and Ralph Williams, Sr., of Poughquag, NY and his maternal grandparents, David and Jean Bingham of Kitty Hawk, NC; his sister, Ashley Williams of Wingdale; his fiancé Lizz Judson and her two sons, Kenny and Hunter VanWagner; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many, many friends.
Family and friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling on Monday, September 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday at St. John’s Church, Pawling, and burial will follow in South Dover Cemetery, Wingdale, NY.
In lieu of flowers, an educational fund is being established for Kenny and Hunter VanWagner, who Joe considered to be his step-sons; details to be posted when confirmed.
