Obituary, Charles Gerald Vincent

 

Charles Gerald Vincent, 81, a lifelong resident of Dover Plains, NY died on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at his home in Dover Plains, NY. Mr. Vincent was a correction officer at Greenhaven Correctional Facility in Stormville, NY.

Born on December 18, 1933 in Carmel, NY he was the son of the late Charles K. and Edith (Akin) Vincent. Mr. Vincent was a graduate to Dover High School and proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. On July 23, 1954 in Georgia he married Hazel Perry who predeceased him on October 5, 2013.

Mr. Vincent is survived by his children, Rita Judson (David) of Milan NY, Carmine Salter (Gene) of Pensacola FL, Charles of Dover Plains, Christopher (Lori) of Dover Plains, Steven (Jaime), and Ann-Marie Edge (Donald) of Fort Myers FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Matthew Judson, Melanie Judson, James Edge, Zachary (Stepfani) Salter, Nathan Vincent, Amiee (Troy) Christiana, Steven Vincent, Christopher Salter, Kevin Edge, Janna (Anthony) Sanderson, William (Danielle) Vincent, Elyssa Vincent, Kelsey Vincent, Elijah Vincent, Daniel Edge, Owen Vincent, Curtis Edge, and Sarah Vincent and five great grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be held at the Hufcut Funeral Home in Dover Plains, NY. Burial will take place at the South Dover Rural Cemetery in Wingdale, NY.
