37TH DUTCHESS COUNTY CLASSIC IS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH

 

The 37th Dutchess County Classic Race on Sunday, September 20th begins at Arlington High School at 1157 Route 55 in LaGrangeville. The old half marathon course is back, repeat runners will be happy to know! The hills are gone this year! Choose from a Half-marathon, 5K and Kids Mile. Registration is open in the shopping cart online. 

Runners may register for only one race (except kids may run in one mile race and also register to run the 5k, if they wish). Course maintenance ends 3 hours after the start. No baby strollers, no earbuds for electronic music devices, no pets and no carrying children while running. 

Half Marathon

Distance: 13.1 miles Begins: 8:30 am Fees: $35 ($40 on race day). Awards/Divisions: For both male and female: up to 18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over. HALF MARATHON MEDALS AWARDED TO ALL FINISHERS. Description: New Course This Year. USATF certified. Miles marked. Water stations every 1.5 – 2 miles. 

5K

Distance: 3.1 miles Begins: 8:45 am Fees: $22 ($30 on race day). Register Race Day at Arlington High School Starting at 6AM. Get there early (Before 7AM) Awards/Divisions: For both male and female: up to 14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over. Description:  New Course This Year. USATF certified. Miles marked. 

Kids 1 Mile Race (12 and Under)

Distance: 1 Mile Begins: 8:00 am Fees: Free ($10 on race day) Online Registration Open. Register Race Day at Arlington High School Starting at 6AM. Get there early (Before 7AM) Awards/Divisions: For both male and female: up to 5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-12 Description: Out and back, flat. Lots of cheering for the kids! 

You can also Register Race Day at Arlington High School, starting at 6 am at higher race fees. Get there early (before 7 am). Race packets must be picked up on race day from 6 am – 7:30am at Arlington High School. T-Shirts guaranteed to all runners pre-registered by Sept. 1. Family rate: only pay for the first four runners in a family (does not apply if kids are already running free in one mile race).

Refreshments are served after each race. Half marathoners will have free access tomassage therapists and other therapy services after the race. There will be many other vendors there as well. Arlington High School has adequate parking facilities and Port-a-johns available.

Volunteer, as they need your help! Its fun, and you can spend as much time or as little as you want. Running? You can still volunteer before or after your run. Races should be finished by 12:30 pm. Spectator, friend, or family member? Volunteer! Simply fill out the form online. You can make multiple submissions if you can help in more than one area! Special note: 30-40 people are needed to be out on the race route directing runners for traffic control. Please sign up and received free Regal Cinema movie tickets!
