Four persons arrested for possessing cocaine

09/15/2015 – The New York State Police – Highland BCI announce the arrests of 37 year old Willie Royal Jr. of Kingston, NY, 53 year old Joann Sanchez of New Paltz, NY, 30 year old Vaneese Roseberry of Lake Katrine, NY, and 35 year old Heidi Junquet of New Paltz, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree (a class D felony). Sanchez was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (a class A misdemeanor).

Subsequent to a vehicle and traffic stop conducted on State Route 44/55 in the Town of Lloyd, NY, by SP Highland patrols, a quantity of cocaine was located within the vehicle occupied by Sanchez, Royal Jr., Junquet and Roseberry. Sanchez was also found to personally possess a pipe containing crack/cocaine residue.

All defendants were arraigned before Judge Rizzo in the Town of Lloyd Court and subsequently remanded to Ulster County Jail. Royal, who is currently on parole, was held without bail, Sanchez was remanded on $10,000 cash / $15,000 bond and Junquet and Roseberry were each remanded on $15,000 / $30,000 bond.
