Patterson Woman Faces Drug Charges

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Patterson woman on drug related charges.

On September 9, 2015 at approximately 12:30 a.m., Deputy Sheriff Thomas Lee responded to investigate a report of a woman using a hypodermic needle to inject drugs in the parking lot of Sauro’s Deli on Route 311 in the Town of Patterson. While enroute, the deputy encountered a woman who matched the description of the suspect walking on Route 311 near Route 292. The deputy conducted a field interview and determined that the woman, identified as Michele M. Finer, 24, of 21 Mountain View Road, Patterson was the subject reported to have been using drugs. The deputy determined that Ms. Finer was in possession of quantities of controlled substances, marijuana and a hypodermic needle. The deputy arrested Ms. Finer and charged her with four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a misdemeanor; as well as one count of Criminally Possessing a Hypodermic Instrument, a misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possesion of Marijuana, a violation. The defendant was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and held pending arraignment. If found guilty of the misdemeanor charges, the defendant faces up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00 for each charge.
