MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2015

1. Today is a “B” Day.

2. Anyone interested in joining the Youth for Diversity Club – please attend our first meeting on Thursday, September 17th in room 1047 with Ms. Mangar.

3. There will be a SADD meeting today during 5th and 6th period in Ms. Swift’s room.

4. Attention all high schoolers in need of community service. The Varsity Girls Soccer team is looking for a team manager to help at their games. See Mr. Esposito for more information.

5. The deadline to register for the October ACT Exam is Friday, September 18th. If you have any questions, please stop by the guidance office.

6. Attention Seniors – Senior Portrait Retakes will be on October 15th and 16th. You must call Lifetouch to schedule an appointment at 1-800-333-2560.

7. There will be a middle school Yearbook meeting this Wednesday in room 1093. This meeting is for last year’s members only. If you cannot attend, please see Mrs. Armstrong.

8. Expressions & Thoughts Literary Magazine. If you are interested in creative writing and poetry or analyzing others’ literary work, please stop by after school in room 1037 with Mrs. Costello on Tuesday, September 15th.

9. Applications for Driver’s Education are available in the guidance office. Please turn in your application ASAP. Classes are scheduled to being October 5th.

10. Volunteers are needed to give a student led tour of the building for the DHS Class Reunion of classes 1962-68. Please see Mrs. Conklin is interested.

11. The 5-hour Driving Course will be held on Tuesday, September 15th from 5-9:30 pm in the middle school cafeteria. See Mary in the high school officer to sign-up.

12. Applications for Driver’s Education are available in the guidance office. Please turn in your application ASAP. Classes are scheduled to begin October 5th.

13. All class officers should update display cases by the end of the week.

14. Attention Seniors – Please note that a Study Hall scheduled for 5th or 6th period is not a “Senior Release Period.” Please report to study hall when scheduled.

15. There will be an informational meeting for any high school students who are interested in joining Photography Club on Wednesday, September 16th in Ms. Wool’s room after school.

16. There will be an informational meeting on Thursday, September 17th in Ms. Wool’s room for any high school students interested in joining Yearbook Club. The meeting will be held after school from 2-3:30 pm. All high school students are welcome!

17. Volunteers are needed next week during both lunches to see DEEP DUCK DERBY TICKETS outside the high school dining hall. Please see Mrs. Conklin if interested.

18.  Come out to the first high school Activity Night of the school year. Tickets go on sale today during both lunches.

19. The first FACS Club meeting will be today after school in Mrs. Elliott’s room. Any student interested in learning to sew or learning other needle arts and hobbies is encouraged to attend.

20. A representative from the following schools will be visiting next/this week: Manhattan College on Monday at 1:30 pm in the guidance conference room. US Air Force Recruiter on Tuesday during lunches and Johnson and Wales on Tuesday at 1:45 pm in the guidance conference room. US Marines on Wednesday during lunches and Southern Vermont on Friday at 8:30 am in the guidance conference room. Please stop by the guidance office to set up an appointment or if you have any questions!

21. Green Team will have their first meeting of the year on Wednesday after school in Mrs. Elliott’s room. All interested in the Courtyard Garden and recycling are invited to attend. Be part of a Growing Team this year!

22. All Juniors who would like to attend a Pep Rally meeting, come to Mrs. Kermani’s room 1039 6th period TODAY!

23. Drama Club: Our next full cast rehearsal and read thru of the script will be tomorrow, Tuesday, September 15th from 2-5 pm. Make every attempt to attend this rehearsal as we get started on blocking this week.

24. Attention sophomores there will be a Pep Rally meeting today after school in Ms. Wool’s room Come prepared with theme ideas!

25. Attention Cosplay Club: Tomorrow after school we will meet at 2:10 pm in the computer lab by the high school office. This meeting is for last year’s members only. We will have elections and discuss this year’s agenda. New members will be welcome next week. See Ms. Deon for more information.
