DCC ‘Take Back the Night’ Event Set for Sept. 18

September 8, 2015 – Dutchess Community College will host activities on Sept. 18 to observe “Take Back the Night,” a national day of awareness that aims to shed light on violence against women.

A reception will be held at 7 p.m., followed by a presentation by Amanda Blaugher, a survivor of sexual assault who now educates others. Both the reception and lecture will be held in Dutchess Hall, room 101. The evening will end with a vigil and march on the main campus walkway.

All of the events are free and open to the public. For more information, contact Doris Diaz-Kelly at (845) 431-8039.
