Ghent woman charged with Felony DWI after crash investigation

Ghent, New York – On August 30, 2015, New York State Police from the Livingston barracks charged 35-year-old Natalie M. Myers, of Ghent, New York, with Driving While Intoxicated, a Felony, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.

Troopers were dispatched by Columbia County 911 to a one-car motor vehicle collision that occurred on Route 66 between Schmidt Road and Bartel Road.  While interviewing the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle who identified herself as Natalie Myers, Troopers observed clues that indicated she was intoxicated.

Myers was transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital by Chatham Rescue Squad where she was treated and released.  Myers was charged with Felony DWI when a criminal history revealed that she was convicted of DWI in 2007.

Myers was issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket for marihuana possession directing her to appear before the Town of Ghent Court on September 14, 2015 at
6:00 p.m.
