Beacon man arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated following 911 dispatch

PRESS RELEASE
Philipstown, New York – On September 1, 2015, New York State Police stopped a vehicle on State Route 9 following a Putnam County 911 call. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Josue B. Velazquez, 40 years old, of Beacon, New York, was found to be intoxicated.  Velazquez was transported and processed at SP Cortlandt, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.20%.  Velazquez was charged with:
  • Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Unclassified Misdemeanor
  • Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations

Velazquez was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Philipstown Court on September 14, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.
