One vehicle fatal collision

The New York State Police out of the SP Highland barracks investigated a one-car fatal collision on Route 9W in Esopus, NY.  At approximately 6:15 a.m., Ulster County 911 received a report of a car off the roadway.  The New York State Police responded, with assistance from the Ulster County Sheriff’s department, Esopus Fire Department, and Esopus Ambulance.  The investigation at the scene revealed a 1-car fatal collision occurred overnight on State Route 9W in the town of Esopus.  The victim, and sole occupant of the vehicle, 32-year-old Yvonne M. Lee, of Highland, NY, was pronounced deceased by the Ulster County Medical Examiner at 6:30 a.m.  Investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
