Poughkeepsie, New York – On August 20, 2015, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested 51-year-old Richard G. Houston, of Beacon, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree, both Felonies.

Troopers stopped Houston on South Road for failing to maintain his designated lane of travel.  While speaking with Houston, Troopers noted clues that indicated he was intoxicated at the time of the stop.

Houston was charged with Felony DWI after it was discovered that he was convicted of DWI related offenses in 2009, 2008, and in 2006.   Additionally, his driving privileges are revoked in New York State.

Houston was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail following his arraignment in the Town of Wappinger Court.  He is due to appear in Poughkeepsie Court at a later date.
