Beekman man arrested for driving while ability impaired by drugs in Pawling

PRESS RELEASE

Pawling, New York – On August 19, 2015, New York State Police from the Dover barracks arrested Christian P. Evanko, 21 years old, of Beekman, New York, for Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, both Misdemeanors.

Troopers stopped the vehicle Evanko was operating on State Route55 for an inadequate tail lamp.   While police interviewed Evanko, they observed clues that indicated he was impaired at the time of the stop.

A New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert was utilized to confirm that Evanko was impaired.

Evanko was charged with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs and for possessing a controlled substance.  He was issued appearance tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Pawling Court on August 20, 2015 at 6:30 p.m.
