Lewisboro man arrested for felony driving while intoxicated following collision

Lewisboro, New York – On August 17, 2015, New York State Police from the Somers barracks charged 68-year-old Michael L. Hoye, of Lewisboro, New York, with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1^st Degree, both Felonies.

Troopers were dispatched to the Lukoil Gas and Service Station in Lewisboro for a report of a property damage auto collision.  An investigation revealed that Hoye was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Hoye was charged with Felony DWI when a criminal history revealed that he was convicted of DWI within the last 10 years.  Hoye was also operating a vehicle despite having a revoked driver’s license due to the previous DWI conviction.

Hoye supplied police with a positive breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of .18%, more than two times the legal limit of intoxication.  He was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Lewisboro Court on
August 31, 2015.
