Doris V. Denick, 88, of Poughquag, NY passed away peacefully on August 9, 2015 at the NYS Veterans Home in Montrose.
Doris was born on November 29, 1926 in Jersey City, NJ to Helen and John Schott. She was married to Michael Denick, who survives, on June 16, 1945 while he was serving in the US Navy. Doris has a son, Michael G. Denick, who resides with his wife Lorraine in Poughquag, NY; a granddaughter, Elizabeth and her husband Colin; and two great grandsons, Colin and Michael. She also has many nieces and nephews. Doris had several siblings who predeceased her, Helen, Shirley and Gloria, as well as a sister, Barbara, who survives.
Friends and family may call at Horn and Thomes Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling from 8:30 – 9:30am on Thursday, August 13, 2015 followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Church in Pawling. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
