Danbury woman accused of stealing friends engagement ring

East Fishkill, New York – On August 3, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger barracks arrested Carla Cardoso, 44 years old, of Danbury, Connecticut, for Grand Larceny 4th Degree, a Class E Felony.
On July 31, 2015, Troopers were dispatched to an East Fishkill residence for a larceny complaint. The victim informed police that her engagement ring was missing and she believes that her acquaintance, Cardoso, may have stolen the ring while she was visiting.
An investigation conducted by the Wappinger Bureau of Criminal Investigation revealed that Cardoso had stolen the ring in July of 2015 and sold it at a Danbury area pawn shop.
Cardoso was issued an appearance ticket directing her to appear before the Town of East Fishkill Court on August 12, 2015.
