Wappinger, New York – On August 4, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger barracks charged Ernest J. Gordineer, IV, 43 years old, of Beacon, New York, with two counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree, a Class E Felony.

On July 22, 2015, Troopers were dispatched to BJ’s Wholesale Club for a reported larceny.  Asset protection at that location reported that on July 21st, a white male entered the wholesale club and stole over $1,600 worth of computer equipment and a green NY Yankee’s t-shirt.

Subsequent to the previous on-going investigation, police were dispatched to investigate a similar complaint in the Fishkill area.  On July 27, 2015, Troopers responded to Sam’s Club for a larceny complaint. According to loss prevention at Sam’s Club, the suspect entered the club on July 22, 2015 and stole over $2,300 of computer hardware.  The suspect was described to police as a white male, wearing a green Yankee t-shirt. With the assistance of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, Yorktown Police Department and the Peekskill Police Department, Gordineer was positively identified as the suspect.

On August 4th, Troopers received a phone call from the Peekskill Police Department who reported that they had Gordineer in custody for an unrelated crime.  Gordineer was subsequently arrested by SP Wappinger BCI for the above-noted larcenies, and he is to appear in the Town of Wappinger and Town of Fishkill Courts at a later date.
