Elaine Tanner, 69, of Dover Plains, NY, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015. Elaine is fondly remembered as a selfless and loving mother, grandmother and wife. Daughter of the late Julius and Anna Papp; she was born August 14, 1945 in Tarrytown, NY. She resided in Putnam County for many years where she raised her three children. In 1992 she married Wayne Tanner, husband of 23 years, and they resided in Dover Plains, NY. Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of others. She had a passion for cooking; she loved to feed and entertain family and friends.
Elaine is survived by her husband Wayne, her son, Jason Belcher, daughters, Christine Belcher and Kimberly (Belcher) Frederick, brothers, Duke, Carl and Frank Papp, nine grandchildren and extended family members. Elaine will be deeply missed by those lucky enough to have known her.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015, 10:00 am at Saint John’s Roman Catholic Church, Pawling, NY.
